2600 miles of motorcycling on July 14 - 29th, 2007. Seattle to Monterey and back, mostly via coast of Oregon and northern California. At Monterey, we attended the three day MotoGP races at the Laguna Seca racetrack.

Lorinda and I took a ferry from Seattle to Bremerton to begin our trip
002IMGP0169.JPG
The ferry ride gave us time to re-check all our bags
003IMGP0170.JPG
We discovered that Curious George had stowed away in one of Lorinda's bags
004IMGP0171.JPG
We took a short break before crossing the bridge over the Columbia River south into Astoria, Oregon
005IMGP0172.JPG
It rained lightly on us in Astoria, giving us a chance to try out our "emergency" rain gear
006IMG_0908.jpg
We spent the first night in a lovely condo near the beach on the main drag in downtown Seaside, Oregon
007IMG_0909.jpg
The weather wasn't that great in Seaside

That's Lorinda's timeshare condo in the background
012IMGP0176.JPG
There were frisbee courts set up on the beach in Seaside
013IMGP0177.JPG
As we headed south along Highway 101 on the Oregon coast, we stopped frequently to take pictures
014IMGP0178.JPG
...As I just said...
015IMGP0180.JPG
I couldn't resist the opportunity to document who the weirdo was who kept taking pictures of Curious George
016IMGP0181.JPG
017IMG_0911.jpg
018IMG_0912.jpg
We stopped in the tiny seaside Hamlet of Oceanside, Oregon for a short break.

Signs like this one kept us hypervigilant on our long, twisty journey down the coast
